James Mukasa Sebugenyi

James Mukasa Sebugenyi is the firm's head of litigation and has participated in several precedent-setting decisions in the areas of expropriated properties, real estate and aviation negligence. James has undertaken specialised litigation training from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), the world's premier Continuing Legal Education (CLE) provider of trial advocacy skills, in the United States of America. James also offers general corporate advisory.

James was attached to Kirton & McConkie Attorneys at Law, Utah, Salt Lake City, USA as Visiting & Training Attorney in October 2009. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Makerere University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC) and was admitted to the Bar in 1992. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.

James is currently serving as the President of the Uganda Law Society.
